Day 1 - USA/Mumbai
Evening flight to Mumbai.
Day 2 - MumbaiArrive in Mumbai late evening where you will be met and transferred to the Oberoi Towers for the first two nights.
Day 3 - Mumbai
Morning at leisure. Afternoon visit to Elephanta Island to see the magnificently sculptured cave temples. In the evening, enjoy dinner with a variety of entertainment. BD
Day 4 - Mumbai/Aurangabad
Full day sightseeing of Mumbai, including Gothic-style High Court, Rajabhai Clock Tower, the ornate Victoria Terminus, colorful Crawford Market, and the Prince of Wales Museum housing a varied collection of paintings and sculptures. Early evening transfer to the airport for the flight to Aurangabad, where you will be met and taken to the Hotel Rama International for two nights. BD
Day 5 - Aurangabad
Full day visit to Ajanta, a series of thirty caves hewn out of rock by Buddhist monks, and then to Ellora Caves, representing the finest in Indian sculpture. Tonight, you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight back Mumbai. Overnight at the Orchid Hotel. BD
Day 6 - Jaipur
Morning flight to Jaipur, where you will be met and taken to the Oberoi Trident Hotel. In the afternoon, ride up to Amber Fort on elephant back. BLD
Day 7 - Jaipur
After breakfast, tour and lunch at Rambagh Palace, then transfer to the Railway Station to join the Palace on Wheels. Visit the pink city of Jaipur including the Hawa Mahal and Nahargani Fort. Depart this evening for Jaisalmer. BLD
Day 8 - Jaiselmer
Morning finds us in Jaiselmer, located in the heart of the Thar desert. It is a marvel of intricate architecture. Take a camel ride in the desert and dine under the stars. BLD
Day 9 - Jodhpur
Visit the second largest city of Rajasthan with its impregnable Fort Mehrangarh. Visit Jaswant Thada, a collection of royal cenotaphs built in white marble. BLD
Day 10 - Sawai Madhopur
Full day to this fortified city and Ranthambhor National Park, thick with lush vegetation, forest and waterfalls and home to the famous Bengal Tiger. BLD
Day 11 - Chittorgarh/Udaipur
Full day excursion of Chittorgarh whose fortifications, temples, towers and palaces cover 700 acres. Arrive in Udaipur, the romantic city founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar in 1550. Lunch at the famous Lake Palace Hotel. BLD
Day 12 - Bharatpur/Agra
Morning visit to Keoladeo Ghana National Park, home to 300 species of birds. Continue to Agra and one of the most beautiful monuments ever built - the Taj Mahal. Leave Palace on Wheels after lunch at the Taj View. Overnight at the Oberoi Trident Hotel. BLD
Day 13 - Agra/Delhi
Transfer to Delhi. Two nights at the Oberoi Hotel. This evening, enjoy dinner with folk music and dancing at the "Top of the Village Restaurant" in the serene and breathtaking lakeshore setting of the Haus Khaz Village. BD
Day 14 - Delhi
Morning sightseeing of Old and New Delhi. Explore the 300-year old walled city built by Emperor Shah Jehan, the magnificent Red Fort, Raj Ghat, the India Gate, the Presidential Palace, Qutub Minar. B
Day 15 - Delhi/USA
Depature transfer to the airport for your flight back home. B
